Generator Runs Poorly or Starts Hard?

  • Use a water-in-fuel tester to check for water contamination.
  • Pump fuel from the bottom of the tank using a hose to identify or remove water.
  • If water is present in the tank:
    • Add a drying additive to the fuel tank.
    • Or pump out the fuel, filter it, and replace or reuse only if clean.
  • Replacing fuel filters may also resolve the issue.
